They discover a human brain that has no folds

The photographer found an adult brain without folds or twists while photographing a rack of human brains stored in a closet at the University of Texas.

It is known that the brains belong to a group of patients at the Austin Mental Hospital and had been forgotten for more than 20 years in a closet in the animal laboratory. Voorhes searched medical records to find his owner, but apparently the data was lost and it is still unknown who he is.

Humans are the species with the most wrinkled brain, which has allowed us to store a large number of neurons in a small space. The lack of furrows and folds is due to a rare disorder called which could be the result of intrauterine viral infections, lack of blood or genetic disorders and produces severe delay.

The collection includes only malformed brains that will be examined through Magnetic Resonance tests and subsequently exhibited on the campus of the same university. .
