The frozen meatballs that Health asks not to consume because they are harmful

The Spanish Agency for Consumer Affairs, Food Safety and Nutrition (Aecosan) maintains close control over all food products that are sold in the different supermarkets and other food stores in Spain and those that enter and leave the country. It is Social Services and Equality through the General Secretariat of Health and Consumption and is the result of the merger between the National Institute of Consumption and the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition. The agency It has a security alert portal on their official Internet page in which they communicate to citizens all those incidents that they have detected in different foods and the recommendations they give to consumers to avoid risks. Specifically, “the Spanish Agency for Consumer Affairs, Food Safety and Nutrition has learned through the SCIRI (National Food Alert Network) of an alert notification sent by the Madrid Health Authorities regarding the presence of egg white and soy not declared on the label of a prepared dish. Specifically, it is “fish balls” of the Yu Chi Fish Balls brand (Yu Chi fish balls). Aecosan also details the appearance of the product so that it is easy for the user to recognize: “product packaged in a 360g bag, frozen.”

“The affected product has been manufactured in the Autonomous Community of Madrid and distributed to establishments in the Autonomous Communities of Andalusia, Asturias, Balearic Islands, Valencia, the Canary Islands, Catalonia, the Basque Country, Murcia, as well as establishments in the United Kingdom, Austria, Germany, France, Slovakia, Greece, Italy and the Netherlands. The competent Authorities of the Autonomous Communities have been informed of these events through the National Food Alert Network (SCIRI), as well as the European Food Alert Network (RASFF)”.

The Spanish Agency for Consumer Affairs, Food Safety and Nutrition recommends “as a precautionary measure for those consumers allergic to eggs and/or soy who may have the aforementioned products in their homes to refrain from consuming it”. However, the agency also qualifies: “Furthermore, it is indicated that The consumption of these products does not entail any risk for the rest of the consumers”.

Just a few days ago, Aecosan also issued an alert to warn of a cream of liqueur that could be harmful to consumers and also warned consumers of baby food that it can cause salmonella infection.
