It is directly an ailment of my own self, because the strong emotions of resentment and pain cannot be expressed. Rheumatoid arthritis is linked to a deep self-hatred, to a long-inhibited hatred or anger, to self-criticism so intense that it affects the most fundamental energy of my existence.
