The hand performs many functions, so it is important to check what prevents pain in this part of the body and what area of life it seems to affect, in order to know its meaning.

The hands, like the arms, are the prolongation of the area of the heart; a pain in this place indicates that what is done with the hands is not done out of love, especially out of love for oneself. The hands should be used to express our love for others and for ourselves.

It is good to remember that the left hand is related to the ability to receive, and the right hand is related to the ability to give. It is possible that the pain comes from the fact that a person prevents himself from doing what he wants with that hand. He does not listen to his needs or what his heart desires.

If hand pain affects your ability to receive (left hand), it’s time to review your way of doing it. What are you afraid of? Do you receive with love or do you think you should give something in return to avoid being considered ungrateful or selfish? Do you think that when someone gives you something, they expect to receive something in return? Because of these beliefs you prevent yourself from receiving, and this limits your joy of living. If you learn to receive with kindness, you admit that you deserve it and that you are a special person that others want to please.

The right side is related with your giving ability. If the pain is in the hand on this side, it is possible that you give with too many expectations, or that you believe you are forced to do so. Are you afraid of giving “a hand” to someone? Does the fear of others taking advantage of you stop you because you don’t know how to say “no”? Do you think you have to do it all by yourself? When you give, it should be for the pleasure of giving and if the person to whom you give something does not receive it with all the pleasure you expected, grant him the right not to have the same tastes as you.

Your hand pain may also be related to your work. It wants to tell you that you should use your hands with love and pleasure; Spend some time congratulating them and thanking them for all they can do. You can allow yourself to “shake hands” with a situation without being afraid of being taken advantage of. You have everything you need to cope with this experience.

If any of your beliefs (such as pain) prevent your hands from doing the things you like (such as touching others more, playing the piano, painting, etc.), see what you are afraid of. Is this fear still justified given the person you are now? To know if your hands are missing something, remember what you liked as a child and allow yourself to do it now without fearing the judgment of others.

If my hands are cold, I withdraw emotionally from a situation or relationship in which I am involved. I can also refuse to take care of my basic needs and indulge myself.

Wet hands indicate to me an excessive amount of distress and nervousness. I am overwhelmed by my emotions, perhaps feeling too involved or too active in a certain situation in my daily life. If I have pain or ramps, it is because I refuse to be flexible in the face of present situations. I must ask myself what bothers me or what I don’t want to do.

I can have a feeling of inadequacy or live a great fear of failure. This leads me to want to “control” everything with my hands, to want to own everything in case something or someone “slips through my fingers”. If, in addition, my hands bleed (ex: dry hands, eczema, etc.) surely there is a situation in my life, a dream, a project that I have the feeling of not being able to carry out and this leads me to experience sadness. Then the joy of living is gone.

If my hands are paralyzed, I can feel “paralyzed” in what refers to the means to take to perform a certain task or action and live helpless in relation to this. Also, paralysis of the hands can occur after very intense mental activity in which I feel over-excited, upset and pressure boils inside me. Perhaps even, I have the pleasure of “wringing someone’s neck” with my hands. If I hurt my hands, I may resist touch, avoiding a certain intimacy, whether it is the touch that I can give or receive from another person. This fear of contact can be linked to a particular present event that reminds me of past abuse.

Jaundice

Jaundice reveals a conflict of obstruction of the bile ducts or ducts, therefore, we will look for the same meaning with “obstructing” the bile: The bile secreted by the ducts is symbolically associated with fire, since it “burns” inside us and destroys and digest fats. We obstruct our inner fire.
