Five habits to take care of your physical and mental health

On World Health Day, we recommend you make some habit changes to improve your health and extend your years of life.

Today is a day for you to be more aware of the importance of health, to learn to cope with the different emotional changes that occur on a daily basis and to give real value to the things that generate well-being.

With the creation of the World Health Organization (WHO), April 7, 1948 was proclaimed World Health Day to raise awareness about deadly global diseases and promote healthy habits in people.

Join this celebration and continue creating and changing habits that allow you to take care of yourself physically and mentally, but above all that help you extend your years of life and enjoy them with greater health and well-being. Here we mention some:

  1. Generate healthy relationships with others. Nowadays, where a large part of the interactions take place through the digital world, it is essential that they promote mutual care and support. But also, that they inspire others to take care of their health.
  2. Eat vegetables with all your meals. By doing so you will fill your body with all the micronutrients that your body needs to function properly. If you don’t like them, you can eat them in small quantities and the ones you like.
  3. Exercise. Consistently performing high intensity training (HIT) helps with cardiovascular and respiratory health, as well as problems related to weight, metabolism function and brain function.
  4. Take vitamins. According to some experts, there are at least 13 types of vitamins that are essential for the functioning of our body and our nervous system: vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, plus all the group B vitamins, among others.
  5. Talk about your emotions. Taking care of mental health is as important as taking care of physical health. If you feel like you can’t cope with a feeling or thought anymore, talk to someone about it. A family member, friend or expert is willing to listen to you and help you.
