DomusVi begins the management of the Francesc Layret Residence in Barcelona

/p>DomusVi expands its network of centers in Catalonia with the management of the Residence for the Elderly Francesc Layret, located in the remodeled Nursing Home on Gran Vía in Barcelona. This center is owned by Barcelona’s town hall and has 66 seats: 28 aimed at people with recognized dependency, arranged with the Generalitat, and 38 more specialized municipal places in social care and rehabilitation.

This residence is specially oriented to the social integration of autonomous people or with low dependency with social needs. The center has a highly qualified multidisciplinary team in the field of gerontology, aimed at promoting the autonomy, well-being and quality of life of its residents. With this new management, among the improvements, the organization of more than 40 sociocultural activities outside the center.
The contract signed by DomusVi and Barcelona City Council is valid for 2 years (extendable to 4) and involves DomusVi reinforce its presence in the city of Barcelona, ​​where it already manages 4 own residential centers: DomusVi La Salut, in the neighborhood of La Salut; DomusVi Regina, next to Lesseps square; DomusVi Claret in Sant Antoni Maria Claret street; and DomusVi Bonanova, located in the former Dexeus clinic.
In addition, DomusVi has 5 more residential centers in the province: in L’Hospitalet, Cornellà, Sabadell, Premià de Mar i Puig-Reig. This new public management contract responds to the group’s expansion objective, which intends to continue its growth with a greater offer of socio-sanitary services.
