​The concept of creative hopelessness is a process in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) designed to help people give up ineffective ways of being, helping them open to a new, values-based path of actions. Avoid argument by asking a set of questions that allows the other person to be convinced by their own lived experiences.
