Hyperprosexia: Definition and characteristics –

Hyperprosexia is a quantitative alteration of attention that consists of an exaltation of it. That is, the person will be in an excessive state of concentration and alert directed at a specific stimulus or group of stimuli, being unable to respond to other stimuli (Ferrali, sf; Mantilla, 2006).

This altered state of attention can be seen when there is drug consumption, in delusions and in delusions (Ferrali, sf; Mantilla 2006; Ramírez Restrepo, 2014).
