Is absence syndrome the same as absence epilepsy, and can a person with absence syndrome get pregnant? Thank you very much for your attention.

I HAD MY FIRST EPILEPTICAL CRISIS AT THE AGE OF 18, LATER I HAD 4 OR 5 MORE I WAS MEDICED WITH LOTOCHIS AND WHAT I SUFFER NOW AT THE AGE OF 55 VERY FREQUENTLY ARE THE MOMENTS OF ABSENCE, GENERALLY WHEN I AM NERVOUS ABOUT SOMETHING SINCE I CAN’T CONTROL MYSELF. STATE OF ANXIETY IN LIFE, MY MOMENTS OF IMPATIENCE THAT I NEVER EVEN WITH PSYCHOLOGICAL HELP COULD I CURE THAT ANXIETY THAT I HAVE AND THAT ALWAYS THINKING ABOUT THE FUTURE ABOUT WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN WITHOUT KNOWING IT AND NOT BEING ABLE TO ENJOY TODAY, IF YOU HAVE ANY HELP I WILL GIVE YOU I WOULD APPRECIATE, GREETINGS.

good evening, I have suffered from seizures of this type since I was 13 years old, I am 25 and until today I have had 3 serious convulsive attacks where I ended up on the floor shaking lost, the last one serious because I remained with the seizures for more than 30 minutes, they have I have done studies, electros and when I look at them the different specialists give me a diagnosis that everything is fine in me, my doubt is in my case why I get the absence crisis and I get scared, because I try to hide so that no one notices. , and because when I react after the crisis I am left with fear and trepidation and I feel that hours have passed when the time that passes is minutes, and I am left with that fear that it will strike me again in the course of the day and my activities. ….I see videos that family members have taken of me and I don’t remember having done anything that appears in them, I still see the time and confirm that only minutes pass and not hours…. could you please support me to finish or control this 12 year old nightmare……

Hello, I have absence seizures, but nothing comes up in the tests, according to my psychiatrist I have them, but in the public health system I don’t have them, I have the same symptoms and signs, I have falls, memory loss, etc. I was off work for a year and I asked for discharge because it was too much without doing anything, I have stress, anxiety, depression, etc. that they recommend.

If I had absence seizures as a child and “I was cured” can they come back as an adult? And do they have any sequels?

Good evening, I suffer from epilepsy with complex chronic absence seizures, I started at 16 years old, I’m 46…. I have always lived a normal life, I finished my degree, my treatment has always been lamictal, phenobarbital and clonazepam. Due to the number of absences that I had in a month, the neurologists decided to operate on me, removing a calcification in the left hemisphere of the brain, since it had caused 3 possible cerebral infarctions, seen from the tomography, as a result of the surgery the seizures decreased. from 33 per month to 6 per month over the course of 3 days, but the difference is that I no longer have aura and I cannot warn that I am about to have a crisis.
Well, they arrive suddenly and the worst of all is that in my opinion I am entering a psychiatric environment since during the crises, I continue acting, I can manage to talk, and even seduce the women who are around me by trying to hug them and even kiss them, That is why my girlfriend always stays by my side taking care of me and thus prevents me from bothering other women… I have asked my neurologist and my psychiatrist for answers and they only respond with more antidepressants, but without any response which has me very upset. sad and worried, since I cannot live in peace, if anyone knows what the most appropriate treatment is, please let me know. Know, thank you very much.

I get absence seizures every 5 or 7 days apart, after that I feel very distressed and sad which lasts between 2 to 3 days. My doctor told me it was catamenial epilepsy due to the periods but they occur during the month, not only when I’m going to get my period. I take lamictal twice a day and for my period I also take clobazam for 6 days or as long as my period lasts. The issue is that even with this treatment, absence seizures continue. What can I do about it or is this going to end at some point?

I have had absence seizures during childhood without treatment, I haven’t had one in a long time and I have a lot of headaches most of the time because the pain is so strong.

I suffer from epilepsy from birth. As the years and medications went by, she “turned into” absence seizures. The epileptic seizure itself disappeared. Sometimes the absence crisis has lasted up to approximately 40 minutes. I ask: is it possible after so many years to cure them? Although these occur from time to time today, is there a treatment that will prevent them from occurring again? . I would appreciate a response to my concerns. Congratulations, for the analyzes that are carried out and that scientifically inform the health problems that afflict many of us. Best regard.

Can you have absence seizures in Arnold chiari disease and syringomyelia?

When I was 15 years old, I was diagnosed with absence seizures and I was under treatment for a while, but for different reasons I stopped taking medication. In fact, I don’t even remember what medication it was, and although I stopped having seizures, the seizures have returned for some time now. What can I do because I don’t convulse, I just see everything as if I were dreaming?

Sleep is like a waste of space and time. It happens to me when I’m stressed or I see lights flashing. I was discharged when I was 10. Now I’m 25 and according to my neurologist it’s a sequel to the disease.

I have this condition. In fact, I started having seizures a long time ago and for a few years now they have only been absence seizures. My question is, can they trigger or have more serious consequences?

How are you. The crisis of absence sometimes scares me because it gives me the impression that I am lost in a silence and I will not be able to come back to myself. I have stiffness in my face as if it were going to fall and my eyelids are heavy, I lose strength in my legs, as if they were turning to jelly, and I feel agitated when I breathe. To make it go away I lie down in bed and sometimes I fall asleep.
I don’t know why my body seems to hurt when I sit back up, I don’t know, that’s how I can describe it. I realize when the crisis is coming, what I don’t like is when it affects me at work or doing paperwork because I can’t talk to people.
I have been in treatment since I was 25, now I am 39.

When I was 8 months old, I suffered a seizure due to a high temperature, giving me meringitis. When I developed it at 14 years old, I suffered seizures very frequently. Then I had treatment with Fenovarvital. My question is, did I have a normal life? I got married. I had 4 more children. I never had a seizure, but now I am 48 years old and I have been having many seizures very frequently. If you could give me a clear diagnosis, if you are a neurologist, thank you, good afternoon.
