Echo smart speakers have become very popular since their launch, especially because they have Alexa, a virtual voice assistant created by Amazon.

If you have an Echo device, and you use it frequently, you have surely noticed which sometimes reflects different colors.

These Alexa colors have a meaning, which serves to communicate a specific state. We will explain each of them below.

The yellow color indicates that you have a notification, and to find out what it is, you just have to say a phrase similar to ‘Alexa, what notification do I have?’.

If the light ring is blue, it appears solid, with a small area in a cyan tone, it means that Alexa is listening to what you say.

Cyan

In the event that it is the cyan color that rotates on the blue, what it means is that your Echo is starting up.

Red

If you see the color red, what it means is that Alexa is not listening because the microphone has been turned off. To turn it on or off, press the on/off button accordingly.

On the one hand, orange is a way to indicate that the device is in configuration mode, on the other hand, what it means is that it is connecting to the internet.
