The ORTO Medical Care fair will return to Madrid in March 2023

ORTO Medical Care, one of the most important European fairs in the Orthopedics sector, will return to Madrid from March 8 to 10, 2023, to publicize the most interesting advances in orthopedic products.

The ninth edition of the Orthopedics fair ORTO Medical Care will be held in Hall 12 of the IFEMA fairgrounds Madrid under the organization, as usual, of the Spanish Federation of Prosthetic Orthotics (FEDOP) and will have the support of the Association of Orthopedic Manufacturers and Distributors (AFDO).

Its inauguration will coincide with International Women’s Day next year, so a tribute will be paid to those who are part of the sector; 35% of orthotists are women, «figure that is increasing year after year and with a increasingly relevant role in the field of prosthetics and orthotics and at all levels; from management or research to the assistance service»says the FEDOP.

Furthermore, in the next edition of will bet on a greater internationalization of the eventto which more attendees and exhibitors from all parts of the world arrive every year, since Spain is a link with Europe for Ibero-American countries. Visitors come to this event attracted by the business opportunities, the innovations in R+D+i, the quality of the exhibitors, the facilities, as well as the hotel and transport infrastructures or the cultural and social offer that Madrid offers.

The event will have more than 8,000 square meters where all will meet news in orthotics products that have been designed in recent years, since, despite the pandemic, these companies have continued to invest in R+D+i to further improve the quality of life of users. In this sense, it should be noted that Spain has a very advanced industry in the orthopedics sector.

After the success of previous editions, and so that attendees have a greater number of opportunities, the organization has decided increase its duration from two to three days. With this it is expected exceed 12,000 visitors of the year 2018, the last celebration that took place. Professionals from the social and health sector will pass through its facilities, such as orthopedists, traumatologists, rehabilitators, paediatricians, nurses, physiotherapists, geriatricians, etc. All of them will be able to see, touch and learn about the trends in support products, mobility and prosthetics, among others.
