The grieving process and Mindfulness, protagonists of two CRE Alzheimer’s courses –

Within your plan teletrainingthe Imserso State Reference Center for Care for People with Alzheimer’s Disease and other Dementias, CRE Alzheimer’shas programmed two interesting courses in which the grieving process in neurodegenerative diseases and mindfulness in professionals and caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s disease.
Of the April 9 to 22l The online course The mourning process in neurodegenerative diseases will be taught, by Miriam Guillen Caro, Neuropsychologist and general health psychologist from the psychology department of the “Dolores Castañeda” Residential Center and Day Stay Unit in .
In it, the participants will learn to implement the necessary skills for a Correct coping with loss situations that are generated throughout the disease and in its final outcome. Thus, issues such as:

  • The concept of death and mourning
  • phases of mourning
  • grief assessment
  • anticipated duel
  • Actions of caregivers in the “last days”
  • How to deal with grief effectively

For its part, the course Mindfulness in professionals and caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s disease will take place from May 7 to 20 with the following objectives:

  1. encourage the self care as a way to improve the attention and care of people with Alzheimer’s disease.
  2. Introduce a new way of relate to thoughts and feelings most unpleasant that allows effective management of complicated emotional situations associated with the attention and care of people with Alzheimer’s disease.
  3. Learn to effectively manage chronic stress.
