Polenta and honey cookies, the recipe step by step

It is in our breads, cookies, pastas, pizzas, cakes, pastries, sandwiches, etc. When we consume any of these foods, we incorporate white flour into our diet.

Have you ever thought of using polenta to make sweet things for snack? Here we show you an alternative to stop eating white flour. Paulina Cocina teaches us how to make dough for breakfast or snack step by step.

Ingredients for a good batch

1/2 cup polenta

1 cup of milk

1/2 cup grated

2 tbsp. of sugar

zest of half a lemon

5 walnuts

1 egg

A little bit to sweeten

Step by Step

  • Prepare the polenta as indicated on the package, without salt and with milk instead of water. I make it with just a little less water so that it is firmer. In the water, add the lemon zest.
  • Once the polenta is made, let it cool and add the sugar. Stir.
  • Add the beaten egg, chopped walnuts and grated coconut to the preparation. There will be a mixture that is not very firm.
  • Heat a griddle or non-stick pan. You can put vegetable dew underneath. Put a spoonful of the mixture and mash with the spoon. When they are golden, turn and cook on the other side. It is important to do it over medium-low heat, otherwise they will burn.
  • To serve, you can put honey on top, or like most people did back in Texas, peanut butter.

To enjoy!
