This delicacy is based on quince paste, one of the most chosen by Argentines for mate time, but a great variant is to make it with the sweet and it is very quick and easy to make in a few minutes and have the option perfect for snack or breakfast.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 2 eggs
- 150 gr sugar
- A spoonful of vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup oil
- 400 gr pastry
Preparation:
First, mix the flour, sugar, oil and vanilla essence until a homogeneous dough is formed. If necessary, you can use a splash of milk to achieve the necessary consistency.
Once the dough is obtained, it must be stretched on a platter. Previously, separate a bun to make the traditional pastafrola strips.
When the dough is ready, add the dulce de leche evenly. Place the strips on top in a lattice shape, which can be thick or thin, depending on each person’s taste, and place in the oven for 20 minutes, at a moderate temperature. And enjoy this pastafrola without butter with some delicious mates!
