The ”la Caixa” Foundation’s Senior Citizens Program announces a new edition, the fifteenth, of the Contest of Stories, Short Stories and Podcasts for the elderly, which this entity organizes in collaboration with Radio Nacional de España.
This ”la Caixa” Foundation initiative aims to encourage the habit of reading and the use of imagination in the elderly, as well as making their skills, knowledge and values visible and shared with society. And that the stories written by older people are the reflection of their lives and the accumulated knowledge in years of experiences, and also how they observe our history and our time.

The People over 60 years Those interested in taking part in this Story Contest can participate in three different categories:
- storiesmay not exceed four pages, and will have a minimum extension of one page.
- short storiesup to 100 words.
- Podcastthe duration can be up to 10 minutes.
The contest will be resolved by a jury made up of well-known writers, such as Soledad Puertolas and fernando schwartz; Ana Vega Toscanospecialist in culture from RNE; miquel molinadeputy director of The vanguard; the winners of the 2022 edition of the contest, and Jesus ArroyoCorporate Director of Public Affairs of the ”la Caixa” Foundation.
All the finalists will receive a prize consisting of a trophy and the winners of the three categories will also have a prize consisting of the broadcast by RNE of the radio adaptation of the story, the short story and the podcastas well as its publication on the website of the and of . The winners of the three categories will be able to form part of the jury in the following edition.
