AGASEDE, the Galician Association of the Dependency Sector, is already up and running. This entity is constituted as a new agent for the defense of the Dependency sector in Galicia. In fact, this association has already requested an audience with the Conselleira de Política Social and the new Conselleiro de Sanidade, a meeting in which they are expected to request the creation of a working group for socio-health coordination.
The association had its first general assembly on August 26, in which short-term objectives were established: defense of the sector and labor carried out by social health professionals and the improvement in coordination between companies and administrations public. And it is that, as they affirm from ASEGADE, it is urgent to create channels of communication between the companies of the sector and the administration to coordinate before the important challenges that we have ahead.

AGASEDE is made up of companies registered in the Single Register of Entities Providers of Social Servicesof the four Galician provinces. These are companies dedicated to SDependency Care Sector (elderly, mental health, people with disabilities…), providing services such as home help, residential care or day centers among others, in the Autonomous Community of Galicia.
This association is made up of entities mainly of Galician capital that provide residential care services but which intends to expand to all areas of dependency care.
