How to clean the iron so that it does not stain clothes

How to clean a ceramic griddle

  • 1. With a damp cloth: Mix a little distilled water with a few drops of laundry or dish detergent. With the iron on at minimum temperature, wipe the damp cloth over the ceramic soleplate. The stains should come out without much effort.
  • 2. With vinegar: Dampen a cloth with warm white vinegar and rub the base of the iron with it. For stubborn stains, add a couple of tablespoons of salt to the vinegar and repeat the operation. When finished, clean the iron well with a dry cloth.
  • 3. With toothpaste: Apply it and rub it with a cloth and then remove the remains with a damp cloth.
  • 4. Vinegar and salt: If the stains resist and you have not yet been able to remove the stains from the base of the ceramic griddle, try mixing the vinegar with a little salt. This mixture will be very useful to also clean the boiler. For stains that do not come off, add a couple of tablespoons of salt to the vinegar and repeat the operation. When finished, clean it well with a dry cloth.

How to clean Rowenta ironing centers

To clean an aluminum soleplate of an ironing center you can use any vegetable oil, such as olive or sunflower oil.
