The magical hummingbird nectar recipe that you can make from home

  • Combine 1 part white sugar with 4 parts water. Bring to a slow boil for 2 minutes, and mix well (do not let the water evaporate).
  • Cool before pouring into the feeder (do not allow the mixture to be put in the drinker while it is still hot).
  • The excess can be stored in the refrigerator.
  • Never use honey or artificial sweeteners.
  • It is not recommended to use red inks.
  • Clean the feeder regularly with hot water to prevent fermentation and mold – every 3 days in hot weather, every 7 days in cold days.
  • Hummingbirds will reject “old” nectar.
