Difference between SYMPTOM and DISEASE

“The soul has no secret that behavior does not reveal.” Lao Tse

Today there is still a tendency in scientific medicine to confuse the symptom with the disease, which is the same as confusing the screen with the projector.

Just as a cinema screen can only reflect what the camera sends to it, the body is also the projection surface of consciousness. All the processes and changes of this manifest themselves in the body in the form of symptoms.

The body can manifest many different symptoms, but they are all an expression of the process that we call illness and that, as we have said, it always occurs in the consciousness of a person.

Etymologically the word symptom means “coincidence”. A symptom, be it a heart attack or something else, coincides perfectly with what the person is experiencing.

Each symptom is, then, a carrier of information, of a message about the state of our soul. It tells us that we have a problem, that something is wrong, that we have a lack.

When the consciousness is in a state of harmony, the disease has no reason for being and does not manifest itself.

For me to develop a symptom I must have experienced an emotional shock:

Each physical symptom has been preceded by a thought, a feeling, a negative belief.

Something that has made us feel bad, that we cannot bear, some issue that we have left unresolved, which may be related to fear, heartbreak, resentment, repressed violence, unconsciousness or irresponsibility.

For this reason, if we learn to recognize and interpret the symptoms, we will fully realize that they always speak to us about ourselves, about our interior.

As is logical and based on the previous example, it is not possible to change the content of a movie by affecting the screen.

The screen, like the symptom, is only the effect of an invisible cause. He shows us the script, the photography, the actors; but if we want to change something that we don’t like, the screen is not the place, we would have to resort to the tape and the projector.

The symptom also tells us with a personalized language what imbalance we have at the level of our consciousness.

He tells us precisely what is left or missing, what mistake we are making and what we have to do to return to the state of balance called health.

It would be absurd to get angry with the symptom or try to suppress it, because what we must eliminate is not the symptom but the cause.

Therefore, it is very important to know how to distinguish between disease (level of consciousness) and symptom (body, biological level).

When we understand the difference, our attitude and our relationship with the disease changes rapidly.

We stop considering the symptom as something that bothers us, as an enemy that must be destroyed as soon as possible.

And we discover in him an ally, a guide, who can help us find what we lack, and thus transcend the disease.
