The companies Seniors Residencias and Dental Residency, specialized in home dental care for people in a situation of dependency or with mobility problems, have signed a collaboration agreement to promote oral health care for all users of the group’s residences in Spain.
Thanks to this agreement, all the residents who are part of the 18 centers that Senior Residences have in Andalusia, the Valencian Community, Castilla-La Mancha and the Balearic Islands will be able to access oral health services offered by Dental Residency; thus breaking the mobility barrier. And it is that, due to their situation, many older people cannot travel to a dental clinic to receive the attention they need.
Residents of Seniors Residences will be able to access the oral health benefits offered by Dental Residency
To this end, Dental Residency will offer its services in the residence facilities in order to avoid the displacement of dependent people whenever possible, as well as adapted transport services and accompaniment to collaborating clinics when the treatments require it and it is not feasible to carry them out in residential centers.
In addition to these services, the agreement contemplates the performance of free dental check-ups and without obligation to all residents who request it, as well as training activities on oral hygiene habits. The objective is promote prevention in oral healtha key element given its relationship with the general health status of the elderly.
