5 signs that you are facing someone emotionally unstable

All of us go through moments of greater sensitivity or vulnerability in life. These may have to do with processes we are going through, such as a job change, a vocational crisis or the redefinition of a relationship. They can also be motivated by hormonal or physical changes.

Beyond these things that happen to all of us from time to time, there are people who go through processes in which the state of emotional instability is maintained over time and is not crossed. Maintaining a relationship with such a person is very difficult, especially if she herself does not intend to register it and work on it psychologically in order to channel this imbalance and find what causes it.

How to realize if you are facing someone emotionally unstable? Pay attention to these signs and remember: you can always help and accompany those you love, but the deepest work must be done by that person for himself and at the time he deems appropriate.

1. They have very intense and sudden emotional discharges or, on the contrary, they do not show any emotion in critical situations

A person who is wounded in the depths of his soul, for whom there is something that hurts him inside, will tend to respond with excessive anguish or anger in situations that do not warrant it. Something irrational is evident in those reactions that can often upset or hurt others.

But its opposite is also a sign of imbalance: not expressing any emotion when there are specific situations that do require it.

2. They don’t take charge

An emotionally healthy and mature person can keep track of their behavior and regulate their emotions. Someone who cannot do it may deny it, want to place the responsibility on another, or tend to victimize themselves without really taking charge of their emotional fluctuations.

3. They have no limits

An emotionally unstable person is not able to control their emotions naturally. They rule it. For this reason, they are often at the mercy of the limits of others and reveal their lack of internal control.

4. They seek attention

Even if they don’t do it consciously, people who are emotionally unstable will seek to attract the attention of another, to get them to consider them in ways that are not always very healthy, such as excessive crying or anger, scenes or any other excessive expression.

5. They show a lack of determination

They can be changeable in their personal projects, careless in their personal care, or even engage in unstable behaviors such as addictions. Everything in your life expresses a lack of balance, and this situation extends over time and shows signs that it is hurting you.
