Valdeluz has inaugurated its first residence for the elderly, located in the Madrid town of Leganés. It is a newly built 9,000 square meter building with 132 rooms and a maximum capacity for 176 residents.
This new residence has the support of health professionals from HM Hospitales and the latest advances in technology, paying special attention to people with neurodegenerative processes. Among the novelties stand out the systems of permanent monitoring of residents with orientation difficulties or the radio frequency network to minimize the loss of garments, among others.

Indoor exercise can be continued outdoors, since in addition to the indoor gym this center has a outdoor gymwhere seniors can work together with physiotherapists.
The 132 rooms (single, double or suites) have their own fully accessible and adapted bathroom, and offer the highest level of comfort. The center also has specialized care rooms, including provision of medical gases (oxygen and vacuum). The interior design and decoration breathes calm and balance thanks to a successful balance of small decorative objects, which print peace through a smooth transition between areas. Also highlight the light, an element that creates a feeling of spaciousness and adds a note of optimism.
The center has spaces for living together, lounges, dining rooms and different areas so that people can share moments and activities with others who have the same affinities. The residence has large gardens and outdoor spaces, including a therapeutic garden to exercise outside the building.
Valdeluz Leganés offers services such as 24-hour medical and nursing care, neurological check-up, occupational therapy, group physiotherapy and individualized rehabilitation, hairdressing, chiropody, socio-cultural entertainment, excursions, events, workshops, its own kitchen, and a multitude of services that adapt to the needs of each person.
