/p>The Spanish Society of Endocrinology and Nutrition (SEEN) has reissued their Endocrinology and Nutrition Resident’s Manualwhose first edition was published about 20 years ago, now available at webapp format.
As explained by the doctor Manuel Puig Domingo, president of the , “We are confident that this new version will far exceed the success of the previous ones, since it goes far beyond what we have proposed up to now in this type of book because, unlike the paper format that has an expiration date, it is a living work which we hope will be positioned among the best in its field, since it is carried out with the greatest possible scientific ambition”.
In the development of this webapp, which has the collaboration of the pharmaceutical company 85 hospitals from all over the national territory have participated and more than 275 authorsconsulting for it more than 1,500 bibliographical references.
It consists of 117 chapters that include information and documentary resourcessuch as 450 tables, 350 figures, 250 images and videos that make the content more accessible to health professionals in the endocrinology and nutrition. In addition, the information is available and adapts to all browsers and devices – computers, tablets and smartphones – and is compatible with all operating systems.
It is a cross platform app which has several applications (contents index, favorites button, direct access to the chapters on endocrinology techniques, chapters with links to medical calculators…) and whose references are linked to the abstracts of PubMed. For their part, drugs, which are constantly updated, are linked to the PR Vademecumso it is verified, complete and updated information available to users.
The main tool you have is a content search engine to make inquiries about topics and keywords included in the manual. The search applies to text as well as images, diagrams, tables and videos. These can be saved in the “favorites” section, in order to be able to access them whenever the user requires it.
