The new image of the Begoña Hospital

The Begoña Hospital, a center belonging to the IMQ Group, is in the midst of a renovation process.

Since last March, the date on which the works began, the Begoña Hospital has tackled one of its most important and significant changes: the total renovation of the exterior, which includes the façade and the access to the centre.

This change represents another step for Hospital Begoña in its policy of evolution and updating of its facilities, with the main objective of continuing to improve the service to its policyholders and the customer experience.

The Hospital, which has been in operation since 1958, is a reference in Gijón. With these changes that are being carried out, it will be able to consolidate its leadership as a private surgical hospital, a center for specialized consultations and diagnostic means.

The works carried out by the company MT façades amount to about €200,000. The works have not affected the usual activity of the hospital, since only the outside of it has been intervened.

The changes not only affect the purely aesthetic part, but also contemplate a notable improvement in the use of the center’s energy resources, according to statements by the Management: “The improvement in the building’s energy behavior will allow a reduction in heating energy consumption and refrigeration through thermal insulation, maintaining interior comfort, in line with the European directives to improve energy efficiency”.

The volume of the building will not be affected, maintaining those elements in accordance with the urban catalog of Gijón, and automatic doors will be installed for better accessibility for users.
