The mystery of the blue dogs found in Russia

A pack of dogs were found wandering the snowy terrain of Russia. But what caught the attention of the local media is that the color of its fur appeared to be bright blue colors. The dogs simply looked like shades of blue never seen before. They were rescued and taken to safety to determine what caused such an event, however, once the mystery was clarified, veterinarians fear for their health.

Seven blue stray dogs were found wandering outside an abandoned glass factory in Dzerzhinsk, an industrial city 370 kilometers east of Moscow. The images of the dogs quickly went viral among the local media and later worldwide. Both veterinarians and network users in general wondered what caused this strange situation.

Veterinarians managed to decipher the mystery of the blue dogs, after examining their coats that appear to have been accidentally painted. But this is not just any case, but one that alarms the population. It seems that the factory had been producing acrylic glass and prussic acid, which is blue in color, it is suspected that the dogs accidentally stained it while searching for food.

After being found, they were taken to a veterinary clinic to analyze their health status. Fortunately, the exams showed a good health condition, although veterinarians still fear that there will be repercussions in the future, because it is a toxic chemical substance.

A bad taste joke

Later another pack of unusual dogs was seen roaming the city of Podolsk, this time south of Moscow. The dogs had a bright green coat and it was suspected that, like the Dzerzhinsk pack, they had also accidentally painted their coats. However, the studies still do not provide a conclusive situation and it is thought that this time the tone came from a bad joke. Joke that may have been driven by the virality of the first case. In any case, the dogs are already under medical protection and will be examined to determine what caused the coloration in their coats.

These cases open the discussion towards the continued risk posed by those that produce chemical contamination in Russia. These seem not to be sufficiently regulated and are partly a legacy of communism. Therefore, the plants are usually old and have little current technology to take care of toxic waste. They end in surrounding areas and are easily accessible to the surrounding population. The case of the blue dogs goes beyond the paranormal mystery or bad taste jokes, but rather makes human carelessness evident.
