He Impressed has launched his Tourism Program for the 2017-2018 seasonwhose marketing will begin on friday september 15for the destinations of:
- mainland coast (Andalusia, Region of Murcia, Valencian Community and Catalonia),
- inland tourism (cultural circuits, nature tourism, province capitals, Ceuta and Melilla)
- island coast (Balearic and Canary Islands).
People who have applied for destinations in the first phase will begin to receive accreditation that will allow them to reserve and/or purchase tickets for these destinations, at authorized travel agencies or on the websites of the winning companies, from indicated in the notification.
As every year, marketing is carried out in stages by Autonomous communities according to the following calendar:
- On September 15, 16 and 18, 2017, the commercialization will take place in Asturias, Catalonia, Galicia, La Rioja and the Basque Country.
- On September 18, 19 and 20, 2017, in Andalusia, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castilla-La Mancha, the Valencian Community, the Balearic Islands and Navarra.
- On September 20, 21 and 22, 2017, in Aragón, Castilla y León, Ceuta, Extremadura, Madrid, Melilla and Murcia.
As indicated by the Imserso, this calendar is intended to staggered marketing but, in no case, does it affect the distribution of places, since these have already been previously distributed by each province based on the population over 65 years of age. Therefore, the travel options of Program users are not affected by this marketing calendar. The forecast is that the trips can begin at the end of the first fortnight of the month of October 2017.
It develops its Tourism Program as a complementary service to the benefits of the Spanish Social Security System, with the aim of providing the elderly with stays in coastal areas and inland tourism, thereby contributing to improve their quality of life, their health and the prevention of dependency.
On the other hand, the Imserso Tourism Program contributes to the maintenance of employment and economic activitymitigating the consequences in terms of employment produced by the phenomenon of seasonality in the tourism sector of our country.
