The IMQ Igurco Araba residence in Vitoria-Gasteiz will increase the number of residential places, going from the current 50 places to a total of 90. This expansion of 40 places occurs after this center has been a key element in the care of the elderly with Covid-19 in Araba/Álava, during the most critical moments of the pandemic.

The extension coincides with the end of the agreement that the residential center had with Osakidetza for the care of long-term chronic patients or those in need of palliative care, and that will allow, after the reform that is currently being carried out in the residence to comply with the most recent regulations, focus exclusively on caring for the elderly.
