The film is considered by many specialized critics as one of the best exponents of the national horror genre in recent years. The portal All reviews gave it a score of 74/100 based on the consensus of 32 reviews.
The newspaper critic Clarion Pablo O. Scholz assures that the film is “a strong and well-seasoned dish (…) for lovers of the genre.” For his part, Horacio Bernades of the newspaper Page 12 he rates the film with a 7/10, clarifying in his review that the director “uses gore strictly for dramatic purposes, without making it a festival in itself,” in addition to highlighting, like many other critics, the cast of actors as competent, being the most acclaimed performers Elvira Ottano, Norberto Gonzalo and Agustín Rittano.
At the same time, the criticism Catalina Dlugi from its website El Portal de Catalina gave the film a score of 3.5/5, stating that Aterrados is the consecrating film of the director and the Argentine horror genre.
