OnaCare will manage the new residence in El Pinoso after signing the corresponding agreement with the mayors of the Mancomunidad de la Vid y el Mármol, made up of the Alicante municipalities of Pinoso, Algueña, La Romana and Hondón de los Frailes.
The new OnaCare residence in Alicante will have 80 residential and day center places, most of which are publicly owned. The contract contemplates a term of exploitation of the residence of 15 years, including 5 of extension and an estimated value of 25 million euros.
The Commonwealth of La Vid y el Mármol has signed an agreement with OnaCare for the management of the new El Pinoso residence that will open its doors this year
The center is located in a building that was built several years ago with the intention of serving as a residence, but never opened to the public. Now, the regional government has decidedly committed to this center, as demonstrated by the departure of more than 880,000 euros that it has already budgeted to subsidize the first placesand that are connected with the plans of the Generalitat to allocate more than one million euros a year for concerted places.
The current demographic phenomenon of population aging increases the need for residential places, especially taking into account the geographical context in which the nursing home is located. And it is that in the area of influence of the region, the estimated need for residential places is 1,274and currently there are only 545, which justifies the commissioning of this residence.
With this center for the elderly in Alicante, and OnaCare continue their expansion throughout Spain with the goal of reaching 35 residences by 2020. The company, founded by paschal ribbon in 1995, it currently manages 25 centers distributed between Catalonia, Madrid and the Valencian Community. At the moment It has another center in Velilla de San Antonio, in Madrid, and with the opening of this new service it allows the residents of the Mancomunidad de la Vid y el Mármol to respond to the demands and characteristics of the area.
