Pamplona It has a new neurorehabilitation center, neurobideawhich offers personalized, rigorous and accessible services, under a model of transdisciplinary and comprehensive work focused on the patient with neurological involvement and in their environment.
Neurobidea is headed by two young health professionals, the occupational therapist Loinaz Guridi and the neuropsychologist Ramon Fernandez de Bobadillawho after several years of experience in different national centers in the field of neurological rehabilitation have launched this project in the Soto Lezkairu neighborhood of the Navarrese capital.
It is an adapted space in which he proposes a work model where values such as closeness and rigor coexist to facilitate the rehabilitation work, since, “prioritize this close contact with the person and their family not only facilitates adherence to treatmentbut also leads to a better achievement of objectives that we propose in this complex work process»say the promoters of this initiative.
Thus, in the adult field are offered assessment, treatment and training services, both for users and professionals, focused on acquired brain damage and the field of neurodegenerative diseases. All this through different specialties:
- Neuropsychology: evaluation of cognitive, emotional and behavioral performance to, if necessary, design a work plan that involves both the patient and the advice of their environment.
- Occupational Therapy: seeking to train the individual to develop their daily activities (washing, dressing, eating, shopping…) in the most independent way possible thanks to work focused on the activity, but through aspects such as manual dexterity, organization and planning, among others .
- Physiotherapy: physical treatment of sensorimotor alterations due to involvement of the nervous system.
- speech therapy: evaluation, treatment and study of communication and swallowing disorders
In this center they also work on the pedagogical fieldfundamentally identifying the main problems related to learning and designing personalized pedagogical plans in direct relation with the school.
