How to make broccoli pie, a tasty and healthy recipe


What do we need?

for a lunch box of approximately 26cm

1 large package of broccoli

3 eggs

1 garlic

2 large tbsp cream cheese

100 g of cream cheese

grated cheese

bread crumbs

Salt and pepper

Nutmeg (fresh or ground)

Zest of half a lemon

Step by Step

Broccoli pie or broccoli pie recipe

  • Separate the broccoli into “trees”. Place in boiling water for a minute to blanch it. We don’t want the broccoli to cook at this time, so we have to be careful to remove it when it turns a bright green color. Strain and reserve.
  • Chop the garlic and place in a bowl. Add the three new ones and mix. Add the tablespoons of cream cheese and continue beating. The cheese takes a little while to integrate, don’t despair, keep beating as it will integrate at the end.
  • When everything is integrated, add salt, pepper and nutmeg, beat and add the lemon zest.
  • Line a tart pan with the dough and pour the egg and cheese mixture on top. Dismantle the warm broccoli florets and arrange them all over the cake. Prick the edges of the dough to make it repulgue and contain the filling.
  • Place the creamy cheese in pieces, add the grated cheese and a handful of breadcrumbs, this will make our broccoli pie have a fabulous crispy crust. Bake in a medium oven until the dough is golden.
