Grupo Colisée has just opened the doors, in the Barcelona town of Igualada, of its new residence for the elderly Colisée Igualada, located at number 41 calle Sant Carles, in the heart of the city, located in the old Mutua building Igualadina.
With a investment of 7.5 million eurosthe start-up of the center has led to the creation of some 65 direct jobs. The new residence has 91 seats distributed over a total of four floors designed to meet the needs and desires of the elderly who require continuous care and want to live in the residence as an extension of their home. Residents have a large outdoor terrace, spaces with natural light, comfortable living rooms for family gatherings and a dining room service with a menu adapted to all the particularities of health and user preferences.

Also, residents can enjoy a extensive program of activities and various services aimed at improving their cognitive abilities, maintaining physical activity and taking care of their personal well-being through a service of psychology, physiotherapy, rehabilitation and hairdressing.
The center also has a unit for people affected by dementia that offers personalized health and social care with the aim of delaying the development of neurodegenerative disease as much as possible through cognitive therapies, continuous monitoring of their state of health and leisure and leisure programs.
