Forest or beach? See what your choice says about you

If you could spend time on the beach or in the forest, which would you choose? Keep your answer in mind and check out what some researchers determined about one preference or another. According to experiments, it all has to do with how extroverted you are.

In a series of five experiments implemented by psychologists at the University of Virginia, they discovered what choosing a place can say about you. It seems that among introverts and extroverts there is a tendency to choose certain spaces of interest.

In order not to expand the research so much, the experts decided to delve deeper into the relationship between personality and two places in nature. After some personality tests, the experiment participants decided between going to a beach or a forest.

Between the beach and the forest there is a lot to discover about you

The results showed that introverts preferred forest areas, while extroverts opted for beaches. However, in a second experiment it was found that either personality preferred going to beaches when it came to socializing and to a forest when the plan was to clear the mind.

However, in three other experiments it was determined that people who lived in flat territories were more extroverted, while residents of elevated surfaces enjoyed time with themselves more.

Certainly, visiting a beach or a forest does not determine personality, but it can be assured that there is an effect on the being when visiting a particular area. There is something in the mountains that attracts tranquility of mind. Likewise, there is something about the beach that invites us to connect with other people.
