Allevyn Life: chronic wound treatment dressing

Allevyn® Life it’s a combination dressing based on hydrocellular foam with silicone adhesive, for the treatment of chronic and acute exudative wounds especially indicated for fragile perilesional skin.
Thanks to its innovative design, compared to other dressings for the same treatment increases the time the dressing remains on the wound by 1.6 days, thus reducing the number of patient visits in half. Other advantages of its use are:

  • Provides security. Dressings that fall off during daily activities cause great discomfort to patients and this can have an impact on their quality of life. Allevyn® Life has a series of characteristics that provide greater patient safety to recover the rhythm of his life: sticks firmlyadapting to the contours and allows patients to shower, and is the only one with multilobed shape and with an extra wide edge that ensures a correct fixation without detachment.
  • It brings confidence. Fear caused by odor and/or exudate leakage can cause patients to become anxious and limit their social activities. Allevyn® Life helps to recover their self-confidence, since in addition to their hydrocellular layerhas a super-absorbent center layer which allows excellent blocking of exudate under pressure (thus preventing exudate leakage) and absorbs odor from the wound.
  • Offers greater protection. The daily activities of patients can be restricted by fear of possible blows or rubbing on their wounds. The innovative characteristics of this combined dressing based on hydrocellular foam with silicone adhesive help the wound protection and, therefore, to increase the quality of life of patients. Allevyn® Life’s multi-layer design provides cushioning that helps reduce the impact of possible blows.
