Aging Lab: III Intersectoral Congress on Aging and Dependency

Aging Lab organizes the third edition of the Intersectoral Congress on Aging and Dependency, to be held in Malaga, on October 25 and 26, under the motto «SOS: Who and how will they take care of us tomorrow? Ethical Dimensions».

Under the University-company pairing, Aging Lab, the Andalusian foundation and network specializing in the creation and transfer of knowledge in technology for aging, will bring together a list of experts in the field at this biennial event, who will address topics such as ethics in the care modelthe rights of citizenship beyond Person-Centered Care (ACP) or the ethical economicsin other aspects.

The presentation of the third edition of the Intersectoral Congress on Aging and Dependency has taken place at the Provincial Council of Malaga

In this forum, conceived as a ecosystem of innovation and reflection on agingSpeakers of recognized national and international prestige from entities such as the Japanese Society for Aging and Menopause will participate; from the London Business School or the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology of the University of Granada.

The second edition of the Congress, which was held in 2018, had the participation of more than 40 companies from different sectors and the active intervention of a total of 126 papers and research developed by specialists from 6 different countries, where it is worth noting the notable increase in oral communications, which reached 400% more than the first edition of 2016. More than 450 professionals from From 13 countries such as Argentina, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, the Dominican Republic and the United Kingdom, among others, attended this second edition.

This year, the third intersectoral meeting will also have several spaces such as the LIVING LABa social laboratory where the elderly are the main protagonists; EIOVAwhich will make visible innovative initiatives such as the FAMP Innovation Laboratory for the Care Economy or the Association for the Promotion of University-Company Chairs in Social Services, and SYNERGIESto encourage the development of networking activities.

The III Intersectoral Congress on Aging and Dependency will have the collaboration of different institutional, academic and professional partnersamong which is the Junta de Andalucía, the Diputación de Málaga, the City Council of Málaga, the Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FAMP), the University of Málaga, Caixabank and CIFAL Málaga-UNITAR, which will provide their support in dissemination and visibility.
