After reading this, you will never make your bed again when you get up…

One of the fundamental rules of a mother or father is to leave the house having made all the beds; There are even those who demanded to do it almost immediately after getting up. For them it is a necessary practice for a tidy and hygienic home. However, what if it really isn’t the healthiest thing we can do?

According to a study by Kingston University, in , making the bed when we get up is unhygienic and harmful to our health. After , we leave a world of mites in the bed that survive in the humidity of our night sweats. A total of 1.5 million mites measuring one and a half millimeters long are defecating in the place where we sleep.

So making the bed after waking up is creating an optimal environment for mites to continue existing at the expense of our health: “Something as simple as getting out of bed and leaving it unmade during the day can eliminate moisture from the sheets and the mattress so that the mites dehydrate and eventually die.”

However, what is the real problem of excess mites in our bed? These small bacteria feed on moisture, creating a nest prone to asthma, allergies and even insomnia. Therefore, it is recommended that, after waking up, leave the bed unmade, open the windows and let the sun dehydrate the mites.
