Adidas Training, an excellent application to improve your health

There is a mountain of data that demonstrates how important physical exercise is for our well-being. This is general knowledge. The problem that many of us face when starting physical training is that we do not know how to carry it out, what steps to follow and how to record progress. Which translates into frustration, abandonment of the training plan and even possible injuries. I know this very well because it has happened to me many times. I paid for the all-inclusive gym subscription for years. At first I went every day and completed the routines, but I quickly stopped doing it and in the end I only went to the gym in the afternoons to take a quick shower (my day started at 5 am and there is nothing better than a shower in the afternoon to recharge energy) before continuing to assist my clients. Analyzing my situation a little more, I think there was too much friction: I had to get up earlier, drive in traffic, get to the gym and do the routine, etc., etc.

But everything changed when the quarantine began. Being at home all day I wanted to look for an alternative that would help me prevent the risks of a sedentary lifestyle. I was looking for an application that would help me develop physical activity at my own pace, that were exercises adaptable to my needs, that I did not need to buy any kind of equipment and that would allow me to keep track of my progress (feedback is key in the development of new routines).

Adidas Training It meets all those requirements and I think it can be useful if you are looking for something similar. It is a free application available for iOS and Android with a wide variety of exercises and routines for all tastes.

Adidas Training includes:

  • A wide variety of short and long-term routines and plans, which you can configure according to your goals.
  • Explanatory videos in Spanish of each physical exercise.
  • Record your progress in photos. Photos are kept private. It is a more useful option than measuring only body weight.
  • Most training plans are free. The paid option (which is very affordable) allows you to use 3-month training plans.
  • The app includes feedback graphs with all the information you need to know how your progress is going.
  • It includes notifications that you can configure according to the schedule, to remind you that it is time to train.
  • Specialized articles on food.

Four months ago I installed Adidas Training on the home screen of my cell phone and it is the first time that I am so consistent in my exercise routine. And it has helped me maintain a healthy routine in the midst of quarantine and I have even recommended it to some consultants who want to start an exercise routine but don’t know where to start. Of course, it does not replace training and evaluation with a professional, but it is a very affordable option.
