Activa-mente, the UDP program that fights cognitive decline

The “Activa-mente” program is an initiative promoted by the volunteers of the Democratic Union of Pensioners and Retirees of Spain (UDP) aimed at combat the isolation and cognitive deterioration of the elderly, increased by the Covid-19 crisis.

«actively» is an initiative that seeks to combat the consequences of cognitive decline of the elderly and improve their basic functions so that in this way they enjoy a active ageing, greater autonomy and a last stage of dignified and independent life.

In this context, this new training and outreach initiative driven by the Volunteering of the Union of Pensioners of Spainwhich already has the support of twelve nursing homes than the implemented in their routines with success.
