He rented an apartment for vacation and was greeted with a very unusual surprise

Online hosting applications have had a significant growth in recent years. Although the coronavirus pandemic clearly affected this business of the owners, thanks to vaccination, the tourism sector rebounded. Now, a post on Twitter went viral by showing a strange welcome that a host gave to his guest after renting an apartment on Airbnb. According to the Twitter user, the accommodation had a good score in terms of number of stars. However, the guest got a terrible surprise when he arrived at the apartment he had rented.

The tourist was surprised when he entered the place, which was decorated with dozens of balloons with shapes and variants of all colors. In addition to the balloons, the host prepared posters with the guest’s face printed on them, with a brief biography that the owner of the place took from the tourist’s profiles on the web and a series of strict instructions that the young man had to follow to rate the accommodation.

According to the Crónica website, in the publication, the tweeter wrote an extensive description of what had happened to him when renting this apartment: “I just stayed in a very very creepy Airbnb. They welcomed me with balloons and my name written all over them. They went into my profile to print my face and put it in various places. “They even know that I am an anthropologist.”

In that sense, one of the posters “pressured” the young man to write specific positive comments about his experience in that accommodation. Among these orders about what the guest should write are: “I was surprised by the harmonious vintage decoration; Which is better than a five-star hotel”; “The best Airbnb I’ve ever been to”; “I didn’t think I would receive so much for so little I paid”; “His attention was very detailed”; “He treated me like a friend”, “Without a doubt the best option to rent in the city.”

In addition, the owner demanded that “if for something you didn’t rate it with five stars,” you must first tell him what had happened. As if that were not enough, in addition to the shock he received upon seeing this strange welcome, the young guest complained that the apartment was messy and dirty, since there were a lot of hairs and even some nails on the floor.

“The place was not clean. Neither does the bathroom. The mattress was inflatable and deflated in the middle of the night. The balloons had already been inflated for days because it was noticeable in the water,” the young man detailed in his description.
