23 ways to improve sleep quality

Psychologist Andrés Salgado shares the following tips so that taking care of your sleep is maintained or becomes a habit in your life. Several tasks are simple. Will you do them?

  1. Get in the sun early for 5 or 10 minutes.
  2. Bathe with cold water in the morning.
  3. Don’t eat heavy at night.
  4. Do not look at your cell phone, computer, tablet or television, at least 1 hour before going to sleep.
  5. Exercise in the morning.
  6. Don’t drink coffee after 4 pm.
  7. Don’t drink a lot of water before sleeping.
  8. Use warm, dim lights.
  9. If you bathe at night, use warm or hot water.
  10. Cool your room, if possible to 18°C.
  11. Meditate before sleeping.
  12. Sleep in comfortable clothes.
  13. Avoid naps.
  14. Eat healthy.
  15. Avoid consuming alcohol after 4pm.
  16. Watch the sunset.
  17. The bed is only for sleeping.
  18. Use dark or blackout curtains.
  19. Sleep 7 to 8 hours.
  20. Write thoughts before sleeping.
  21. Wake up at the same time.
  22. Sleep at the same time.
  23. Drink coffee only 60 minutes after waking up.
