By virtue of the above, as stated by our psychiatrist Dr. Carolina Ayola, leader of the endorsed program “since 2015 we have been designing a proposal that includes the implementation of a clinical model in mental health for the care of patients with suicidal risk preventing serious complications such as in-hospital suicide. In June 2020, with the Chronic Depression Program, we created a specific multidisciplinary model for the care of those who suffer from this disease and are undergoing a medical-surgical pathology, where we seek the clinical improvement of patients with the aim of preventing adverse events associated with depression. presence of chronic depression, to reduce hospital stay and favor rehabilitation, improving the quality of life of our patients”.
