An exhaustive process, carried out by foreign auditors, concluded that the clinical processes, services and human groups are integrated and committed to a quality care policy.

The experts toured each space, each service and evaluated first-hand, in a meticulous and detailed manner, the care protocols, the human groups in their daily performance, from day to day, as well as the response to specific eventualities.

Of the 1,076 measurable processes, 1,072 (99.6%) satisfactorily met global quality standards. The evaluators highlighted the clarity and precision in the understanding of the different standards and measurable elements. Technological resources and patient safety, as an established culture, among the best qualified.

According to doctor González, in these years the institution “It has been prepared in infrastructure and technologies in accordance with the development of health in the world and the human team, with effort and dedication, to adjust to increasingly demanding quality care standards”he asserted.

The international accreditation process is one of the most complex. The rigor of the international audit can lead to the institution visited not meeting the requirements and not being accredited; that, therefore, a second and even a third visit be scheduled throughout the year, to review again or that only some services are accredited.

“For us it is very satisfying that on the first visit we receive the highest distinction of international quality and that it is for all our services. It fills us with pride to know that we are doing things well, with excellence”emphasized Dr. González.

Among the aspects that most attracted the attention of international experts, is the culture of service and patient safety and safety in general, typical of all the institution’s processes. Infection prevention and control were also highlighted.

The management of the contracts, with a very good definition of the quality commitments that the contractor acquires, and the follow-up and compliance with said commitments, were also counted as favorable points for the auditors.

Likewise, they highlighted the existence of seven safe management programs for buildings, supplies, people and their belongings. They highlighted the safe management of technologies, hazardous elements and waste, the management of emergencies and disasters, and fires. These programs seemed complete and very accurate.

They were struck by the cleanliness and neatness of the different services, the signposting of the facilities, the cleanliness of the kitchen and the management of food safety. Technovigilance and pharmacovigilance programs were positively valued.
